What are the best budget parts for a keyboard?

more_vert
Hi, I am looking for ideas on what to use for a budget keyboard I play on building. I currently are thinking about using tealios with a random amazon keycap set. The board I have planned I'm pretty sure is a GK64. I'm just now getting in the hobby and right now have a modded Redragon K552 with Gateron reds sop looking to upgrade soon.

There's a wireless keyboard with the gk64 layout on sale at keebmonkey for 25 dollars. https://www.keebmonkey.com/collections/recommendations/products/keebmonkey-x-ambit-kb68-budget-keyboard-kit No rgb but idk how much that means to you. As for Tealios, they're probably among the least budget friendly switches. You'd be spending 70 dollars on switches alone. I don't have any experience with them, but it's safe to say that it would be better to allocate your funds to other parts of the build if you're on a budget. The case, plate, and keycaps have more of an effect on the overall experience than switches, especially if you're doing a linear build.
