Is the internal circuitry genuinely balanced or does the single-ended 6.35mm headphone socket provide the same output - from the same circuitry - as the XLR one?

The rated power output of the XLR is four times as high as the 6.35mm with 300ohm and 600ohm loads. That indicates a bridged amplifier for the XLR. There will be four identical amplifiers to drive the XLR: Left(+), Left(-), Right(+) and Right(-). I consider that balanced, although Audiophools may disagree! It doesn't actually matter that the XLR output is balanced, but 6dB more power could be nice! Only the Left(+) and Right(+) amplifiers will be used for the 6.35mm.
