Mystery Leather swivel knife

more_vert
Anyone have the history or knowledge of the mystery swivel knife I bought on eBay that was sold incorrectly advertised. It’s was thought to be a Midas from 1984. I knew that something wasn’t adding up right there cause Midas NZ closed in 80-81. The knife pictured had screws and the article he was comparing this beauti to had Allen wrench screws. Plus the knurling on the barrel was linear in the adds but the real knife has a crosshatched barrel. I asked questions with no reply. so I decided to put an offer of 150.00 in as it was offered at 295.00. The offer was countered by the seller at 195.00. And a message of what he would take. So I bought it. Then after that I asked if there were any visible makers marks and to my surprise no answer. A few more questions unanswered and then I get an email stating my knife has been sent. So after, the seller replied no makers mark??? In the advertisement it said MIDAS on the yolk of the blade. Which he didnt reply. Well I said, forget it it, I’m going to send Noel Kelly a picture. And he confirmed that it was original but that’s all he would say. Now I’m trying to find out what I really have?? A makers model?? An experimental Yolk? It looks hand lacquered like his original stamps. Help!! I’m just curious and would never sell this Mystery of mine. I recently found small, tiny, what seem to be makers marks, but it’s a stamped scroll and some other things ??? You tell me??
