Quick rundown with my living room setup. Schiit stack magnius and modius. HD58x XLR cable with the modmic wireless. Optical cable connected to my LG CX. Now would this headset be worth getting compared to my current headset/setup? And will the mic work with the PS5 and series S? I feel like I’ll still have to use my modmic which is really not a big deal but the 38x mic would just be in the away

TBH if your looking for something different, and already have the HD58x, dont bother getting this headset. I owned the HD58x and was in the same position as you. I went ahead and bought the PC38x and I cant tell really any difference in sound. Now I haven't listened to many expensive headphones, I have owned several "Gaming Headsets" like Astro, Steelseries, Razer, etc. I really like the PC38x, I used for about 2 months. I came into my office to find my dog chewed up my Mic on the PC38x. So now I'm back to using the HD58x. I am instead of buying new pc38x, I will just use my hd58x and purchase a new pair of headphones I have never tried. (Because 58x is so similar to 38x)

SquirearlIf you still enjoy your HD58x and since there isn’t much of a difference with the PC38x l, have you considered in get the modmic wireless? It’s a cheaper alternative instead of buying a whole new headset https://youtu.be/S4zubCBHsjM

The mic will work with anything, it's a normal gaming headset. Secondly, the only way to know if it's worth trying is to test it out. It definitely has a wider soundstage than the HD58x if you care about that. Lastly, don't listen to Michnig, the HD560s is great but doesn't have any bass which is very important for immersion in single player games. At the end of the day, the only way to know what you prefer is to test it out.

Why buy the PC38X then if you don't need the mic? HD560S is better than the PC38X

The PC38x is tuned for games (FPSish) and has a mic. It has probably the best soundstage for audio outside as most of the Audiotubers say the 800s. For the the HD560S it has for a normal headset the best soundstage outside the 800 series for Senn. There is some questions on whether the PC38x uses the same driver and similar tuning and I haven't seen any real direct comparison. But realistically they are going to be pretty similar. So if you aren't using the integrated mic the get the 560, if you will use the mic or like having the volume control on the headset get the PC38x. Another thing worth noting is that the PC38x and 560 share the same chamber including the same E.A.R.S location. I really don't think one is much better than the other. Probably slightly better game tuning on the PC38x and slightly better because of a more open backside, better soundstage on the 560.

MichnigBecause you simply can't drive a 560s properly on a console. The 560s has to be driven with an amp/dac or a soundcard that can power it properly.  That said, if you want a great headset for gaming and don't need a microphone, there is the AKG K371 which is way better than a common PC38X. And it doesn't need an EQ or an amp.  If you want to find a headset that is as good in audio, there is no equivalent below 600 euros. But its flaws are a fragility and a lack of comfort compared to the Sennheiser headphones Sorry for my English, I am French
