Recommendations for a AA flashlight?

more_vert
All these AAA flashlights sound great, except that I have a ton of AA batteries but no AAAs and I don't want to go out and buy AAAs that I can only use for a flashlight. Any good ones out there?

Peak LED Solutions El Capitan, brass, keychain model, order the momentary switch, HI CRI emitter, narrow beam. This is the fail safe AA light to have with you always. Use Lithium AA. Peak LED Solutions makes these and all their stuff for professionals who rely on their equipment. There is not enough time to explain why this is the only AA light you need consider.

Fenix E12. It's on amazon right now for $27. Has 3 outputs. Runtime ranges from 40 hours to 1.5 hours depending on what brightness you have it on. I've had it maybe 3-4 months and use it every night and still haven't had to replace the battery. It's barely thicker and a bit longer than a AA battery so it's fairly easy to carry around.

Here's a good answer for a cheapo solution: I bought it at the recommendation of some blog somewhere. They are pretty damn bright and durable for a cheap light. Only one brightness setting, and the beam focus just slides in and out. When focused all the way in, you can clearly see the shape of the LED insides, which I think looks kind of cool. I placed them around the house, since they're in a 3 pack.
