I went to our local grocery store to get a pumpkin AND THE BIN WAS COMPLETELY EMPTY! I hadn’t been able to get to the store sooner and I was really disappointed. But it was cold and slushy out, so I thought maybe the pumpkins had been moved inside. I asked one of the deli clerks, just in case, and he found the produce manager for me. Well, Antonio (the produce manager) told me that all the pumpkins were gone, but he did have one in the back. My first thought was that it must be one with a crack or mold, but he explained that it was big one, kind of pricey, and he’d been going to take it home, but said I could have it. He assured me that he had seven from a local farm and that it REALLY was all right for me to take it. Here it is in real life:
