I don't understand why people would vote 'no thanks'? If it isn't for you sure, but I've voted for things that I thought I might like, if I had the money OR that I could see that a few people wanted.
Also makes sounds upon boot up and shutdown, comes with everything you need, cable for extended range, I believe you can run it off of the wire if you don't want it wireless. I haven't explored that yet. Packaging is nice, the piece of plastic paper, thick... stuff around the box, if you tear that open there's a nice diagram of the controller.
I have a steam controller.. It's a pain at first learning how to setup everything, not a problem after about an hour or two, It's actually pretty nice. Haptic feed back in almost every button, you can assign dead zones, different functions, what part of the pads do what, has an accelerometer for aiming and it's definitely something.
