I have the QC35s, mostly because I have a connection that allowed me to get them for a crazy discount. Honestly, they sound terrible. I mean, I realize it's Bose, but damn, these are really bad. There is almost no definition in the signal, and the whole thing sounds muddy as hell. Now, that being said, if your primary objective is to get a set of BT headphones that have crazy-long battery life, and rock solid BT connectivity, then these are for you, as long as you don't care about the actual...you know...sound. I've only had mine for a couple of months, but I can't take it anymore and will be selling them.

pinschegavachoThis is my experience as well. These are just about the muddiest thing I ever listened to. It’s about on par with some no name $5 earbuds I bought when I was a kid. IMHO passive noise canceling on a decent closed back headphone or quality in ears is much better. Other options can get real close to as quiet as these on a plane but without sounding like total garbage.
It’s worth pointing out that Bose QC 35 are a headphone with an affiliate marketing program that pays way better than most. So most YouTubers covering top headphones mention it because they want to make money. Bose is really good at marketing, but in reality these are straight up robbery, that’s why you always hear about huge discounts and $50 affiliate marketing payouts. There is no way this headphone is worth >$400.
The $40 Koss Porta Pros are a good benchmark for the minimum sound quality you should get from anything more expensive. The Bose QC 35 is far behind that standard.
Try the Bowers and Wilkin noise canceling headphone, or just some passive closed back over ear headphones.
