Last I checked they still hadn't found a vendor for this monitor, which is wholly unsurprising as it is sold out everywhere.

As @Promethus has said, we haven't been able to find a source for this at a price that offers you all any kind of meaningful savings. The desire for this monitor has been heard and I'll update everyone if we find anything in the future, but for now I'm going to close this poll down.

Does G-Sync mean anything or is it just marketing-speak?

G-Sync is a module inside the monitor. It's actual hardware. It syncs up your monitors refresh rate to the frames output by the GPU, which is the opposite effect of Vertical Sync. This cures screen tearing and input lag.

Will we get any sort of update on what the current status is or will it just show up as an active drop one day? I'm going kinda insane over this monitor

If we could get this I would almost bet it would be bigger then the LG 35um drop a few weeks ago
