Having recently finish building a new desktop, I figure it was time to upgrade my monitor as well, since it flickers. As someone that likes to game and code, I figure a 27" monitor would be my ideal size. I considered a 4k monitor, but I believe that the time for 4k gaming isn't here yet, especially since a high-end graphics card is required. Something else that is important to me is aesthetics. Not only does the picture quality have to be good, but the monitor itself should be pleasing to look at too. I'm hoping as a result of this poll, there will be a drop for a monitor that fits these requirements, while costing under $600, but ideally under $400.
