Ati is owned by AMD
AMD just re-released and rebranded a product again... how disappointing
I agree, AMD for ethics. But also AMD has been proven, by pretty much everyone and their mom, to perform better than Nvidia with DX12 and Vulkan. They're the future...
NVidia for performance, AMD for ethics.
I admit i was a little bummed that AMD chose not to answer nvidia 1080. So AMD really had no answer for the high end. AMD is fighting on two fronts. But thats all going to change in a month or so when they release Ryzen to answer Intel and Vega (high end) to answer Nvidia 1080 or higher.
I am all for the underdog with consumer friendly business practices. They get the job done. I don't need premium paid garbage like Nvidia gimpworks, and geforce experience with login accounts tying game bundles to my account.
These are billion dollar corporations guys. Stop pledging allegiance and frothing at the mouth over it. Jeez.
"But, but, it only had 3.5GB and the 1080p doesn't use it while the 480 with the 8GB while using the DX12!"
Lol
S3 anybody?

A 970 isn't. A 480 can't be since it's the AMD gimped 970.
The RX 480 is able to max almost all games out on 1080p but for 1440p it's a good high/very high card but it certainly can't do stuff like 16 times AA.
I've always wanted to buy a gpu manufacturer!

If you had a little bit more money, you could even buy multiple! Imagine how nice that would be!
