16 core overclockable Ryzen 2Gen Threadripper 2950WX is currently the best cpu for both gaming and productivity!
The 1800 is worst than tge 1700 if you dont use liquid cooling. Just some helpfull info
I've just bought an 1800x, but hopefully massdrop gets it on here cheaper than amazon/newegg. I can't see the price going as low as microcenter's though.
1600, over clock it and you're golden for everything. Was going to buy one anyway but if there's a drop I'll wait. Cheapest I've seen it is 385 AUD
Would get 1300x, very good budget CPU.
Shame that the 1900x isn't included in this poll.
Its identical to the 1800x which is winning so far, but it has 64 PCIE lanes instead of 16. 16 is just too limiting. The 20 lanes on competing intel parts is still more versatile if you want to run VMs.

Cause its a different socket, maybe thats why.
1600 is the sweet spot please vote for the 1600
the 1600 is something that everyone wants to get their hands on. Its the easy middle ground. Pls get this dropped or something....
I want the 1700 atleast
Theres no way that many of you NEED an 1800x.. like really? why not vote for something most here actually wants to buy like a 1600 or 1600x instead of just clicking on the most expensive and extravegant option... really annoying that all the actual needed processors by the masses get shifted aside for the excessively powerful and expensive ones. I know damn well 99% of the people who voted 1800x will not buy and/or especially wont need anywhere close to that performance.

As a computer animator I would. For rendering and postediting. I still am not going with an 1800 because it is worst than a 1700 in an air cooled system

Both of you guys missed the point of my comment
I would want the 1600x or 1600 with discount
Would love to get the 1800x

There's no real reason to get an 1800x when a 1700 will OC to the same performance level.

Thanks!
1600x is pretty damn good. 4 ghz 6 core
Hoping the the 1800x goes on sale
Would be nice to get either 1800X or 1600. 1600 is the jewel of Ryzen lineup, imo.
