OK that's a really good point that I frankly never thought of. I live in Australia so we don't have Amazon. On EBay AU I can get a pair of regular black ones for a minimum of $200AUD. On other Australian online tech sites like PCCaseGear, I can get a pair of grey ones for $189AUD. I'm not exactly sure but I think MASSDROP would provide a cheaper price. (FYI if it helps, ~1AUD=~1CAD.) With your comment about diversity, I even feel a bit guilty about starting the bandwagon again :(. I suppose this could be a repeat of one of my other polls, I started a monitor poll (because I wanted a certain monitor and wondered if some other 200 people did too) and it went crazy and was dropped. I was excited until I found out it was US only.

No no, wasn't my intention to make you feel guilty at all! We are all allowed to make a poll of whatever we want :) And if buying thru Massdrop is cheaper for anyone not in the US, that I can understand. No worries, it's not a bad idea to see them drop in different colors for those who love these headphones and for those whose cheapest option is massdrop. And I am sorry about the US only drop :( Surprising because usually MD offers a service to have them shipped to non US customers...

I have to laugh. How many times have these headphones been dropped already... And how many other options out there for something different in the same price range OR pay a little more and get a better headphone. The m50x is so overrated. No offense tobyc

I can see where you're coming from. My opinion is that they are still quality headphones and as you can see from the drop, not everyone in the world has a pair. Plus, right now they are as cheap as they have ever been so why not. I have been unfortunate enough to miss the previous drops or had not enjoyed the colour, that is why I am doing this. I, like you think that they have received much more media attention than any just above average headphone should receive, I just think that if no one wanted sure headphones, this single-headphone poll wouldn't have received 64 votes in 3 days.

I can certainly appreciate that they are popular headphones and have many fans. I have a pair myself (never get used). I've been in the MD community for a while and the one thing I'd like to see more of is NEW and DIFFERENT products. You can find the colored m50s on Amazon or any other site for likely less than you would pay here. It's just a little frustrating and mind boggling to see these headphones get polled and dropped multiple times a year when there are new products to try (and as I said, these can be had for cheap on just about any site)
