I have used the Breville tea maker extensively for over 3 years straight. I used it all day long, made 6-10 pots of tea a day. Unfortunately I can tell you that of the three pots I have had two of them lasted 13 months, the last one lasted 15 months. Luckily I purchased from a bed and bath store that takes exchanges forever if you keep the box and reciept, It cost nothing to get replacement pots. This time I decided not to replace it and used the credit to buy a nice STAUB 4qt dutch oven and some other things for the kitchen. I can always get another tea pot but the frequent failures on this model is discouraging and at well above $200, 13 months is a very short lifespan even if under their policy exchanges were trouble free
I'm not beating up on Breville, their toaster ovens are great..
