Best First double-edge safety razors

Just to throw in my two cents; I currently use a van der hagen safety razor that I bought for $20 at a grocery store. All of these razors are going to nick you pretty badly until you get used to the technique, but after a couple shaves, it's pretty easy to get a very close shave with one pass. It depends how committed you are to shaving with a safety razor... If it's this or nothing, I'd pony up the cash and buy one for $50, but if you're just trying it out, I'd do what I did and buy a cheapo razor to test first. (P.S. Oil under cream helps with the first few shaves)
