If you like wide sound stage the regular 1060 is the way to go they are twice s wide as shp 9500 and 3 times as wide as hd600, hd6XX and hd58X jubilees and 4 times as wide as M560 these are my number one choice because they do one thing better i think then not just anything under 500 but up to 950 or whatever the cost of the Hd800/Hd8xx is now. I Also have the M560 it's well built but unless all your into is intimate vocals the sound sucks there in NO bass the High's are a little disappointing for a planar and piano and strings sound lacklustre 1060 is better hands down it beats it and detail in every category. in comparisons to all the aforementioned Sennheiser 's it wins in high's hands down with it being realy close in mids and base to the point where it's hard say. Better sound stage and imaging. but it's built like shit but be happy to now if you bug monoprices costumer service enough they will eventual RMA if you have a problem.
Verum one. With pad change, burn in, and the right DAC/amp, amazing, for way under $500. If you can stretch to $600, sendy aiva is end game.

I have watched YouTube reviews of the Sendy Aiva clone, the Blon B20 and the reviewers seems to favor the latter one.
It is pretty obvious that the M1060C is the best overall headphone with great potential for modding. Below is the open back mod.

Monolith M560 Planar Headphones are the best built by far full metal construction. Also they are better than the fostex planars i have a pair already the are great and very easy to drive.
