I have to agree with the above. Bare minimum for a budget gaming should be 1 ms response time, 1440 resolution, and then the high refresh rate.
For gaming the ASUS VC239H Slim Bezel Black 23" 5ms (GTG) HDMI Widescreen LED Backlight LCD Mon is sub par if your looking to game competitively as it has a 5ms response time and a 75hz refresh rate. The VG248QE would be much better because it is designed for gaming with 144hz refresh rate and 1ms response time.
