I highly recommend the R.M. Williams Chelseas. I own a pair of the Comfort Craftsman in black and they are leagues ahead of Jack Erwin in terms of quality. I'm in for a brown pair! =)

Seconded. I've got two pairs of Allen Edmonds, a Red Wing Beckman, and my RM Williams. The RM's are by far the most comfortable shoe I've ever owned, even right out of the box. Super versatile, can be worn with jeans. I've even worn them with a suit.
