We have a Knoll Barcelona, and got a Aarnio ball for our son for his 10th birthday. He had sat in one at a design exhibition and loved it. I find it disconcerting, as it deadens sound in the room too much. We also have some armless MR Lounge chairs, also made by Knoll, picked up at a garage sale; the leather straps had suffered, so I made up some new straps, but they're OK for the most part.
An Eames drop would be incredible... as long as it’s at 1/10 the price and not fake.
Even with a drop, the Eames chair is priced out of reach for most budgets. But we can dream right?
What is the difference between the top two eames chairs (the two made by herman miller)?
I'd take Re-Vive by Natuzzi over the Eames. Not as iconic, yet, but so much more comfortable. Also more practical as it has a smaller footprint.
I hope to god the Eames chair drops.
