I have a raw copper back from like 2004ish. Awesome lighter that developed a beautiful patina overtime. Only issue is the hinge is prone to separating from the case because of the difference in metals but obviously zippo will fix it for free
Just as a warning I happened to purchase a high polish bronze armor
The hinges are crimped on the outside "rings" as opposed to being a totally symmetrical cylinder and they seem to have more side play than usual, combine that with a heavier lid and it seems to make a lot of noise. I have only owned 4 zippos throughout my life, 2 of them were high polish bronze armors manufactured in june 2016.
Very noticeable if you're coming from a regular brush chrome 2013 like I was.
Edit - because i didn't make it clear, both the high polish bronze had the same issue. Neither were lemons it was just part of the design. The way the hinge sits in there allows for more blade play on the the high polish bronze armor relative to a regular 2013 brushed chrome and my ~2008 brushed chrome
No clue, massdrop changed their vote requirement from 200 to something higher (looks like 500), not sure what it is, so this poll now only has about half the required votes.
