I have a steelcase leap I bought refurbed from an office supply store and it's incredible. Way better than an Aeron in my book, and includes all features stock. Only downside is mine has a tan seat and a brown back. I'd love something a little nicer looking.
I find the newer Aerons (2016 and up) with full adjustability and posturefit to be better than the Mirra 2. A lot of people have tried the Aerons in offices, but making a judgement on a chair in the office is like making a judgement on a rental car. Base models don't do either product justice. Go into a Herman Miller store and try each out and have the sales person walk you through the adjustments and get the proper sizing for the chair (A,B,C). I find the lumbar support of the Aeron to be far better than the Mirra2.
I have the Aeron and I'm not fanatical about it. The default lumbar support is an uncomfortable brick (haven't tried the upgraded lumbar piece) and the fact that the pan does not slide back and forth means I can't get the seat to the point where my back is properly supported. Also, having different sizes of chair means you have to guess right.
I put the Gesture in the vote as well, it's a much newer chair that I now own and I think it's excellent. Their advertising about a highly adjustable and position-comformant design are well-founded. It probably is more appropriate to compare it to the Herman Miller Embody as these two are the newer "flagship" products for both, and I find the Gesture to be superior to the Embody.
I imagine the asking price is a heavy ask but if you're serious about purchasing a high end task chair, the Gesture is worth considering.

Yea not sure why so many like the AERON, I have had it in offices... very uncomfortable long term. LEAP and GESTURE I have not touched before though. Very interested
