good fkn god, people are looking for an entry level watch, and all these fuckers are voting for a 600$ watch smh
Oh for Pete's sake. Doesn't everyone who Actually wants an SKX already have one? Or two? Or five?
My first swiss automatic is Hamilton Khaki field. My only regret is not getting one with an in-house movement. But I still love her ever so much. If you're thinking about pulling the trigger in one, do it. You can find some automatics in Amazon for <$500.

I've owned a Seiko Black Monster (automatic) for 12 years, and it looks brand new. It was $200. Seiko makes a high quality watch for pennies on the dollar of Glycerine and all that other shit MD sells
I think with a small budget, Orient watches is one of the best choice out there, example: the bambino, Sun and Moon, Mako... I bought Orient Mako V.1 as my first entrance ticket to the automatic watches world and it is still one of the best looking and sturdy in my collection. For medium budget, Seiko SARB line (JDM) is the best bang for buck however many of them has been discontinued... Sadly Seiko wants to keep 6r15 movement for their presage line which is more expensive, not good value as SARB line. I am very regret that I did not pick up SARB033 when I was in Japan... Yodobashi was selling it for 29,000 Yen = $260usd. I got SARB017 instead with no discount 35,000 yen, I think. SARB017 has more unique characteristics than SARB033. For me, a watch is more than $500 is not a watch on budget anymore...
Yeah, I am holding my breath for that Khaki Field, too. I'd really like to get one. Is it even in the plans for a drop?
New to Massdrop and i need to buy a new watch. I was really interested in the Khaki Field, how these polls work? Can i expect it to be in a drop soon?
So when we gonna get that khaki field?
Should havd had Tisell Diver Watch on the list though.
who "on a budget" is dropping $600 on a time piece?
I like the SARB33. It got my vote because it's the most versatile. I own the Hamilton Khaki King and it's really nice, but feel like I wished I bought the SARB. It's 38 mm and, despite how some still feel bigger is better, sizes are trending smaller. 38 mm is a very flattering size that makes an average sized wrist look so so nice. If you have a nine inch wrist get a 44 or bigger, most of us have an average wrist. The SARB can dress up or down. It's thin enough to wear w a dress shirt. Lastly it's crafted in Japan instead of Malasia. This is supposedly more rare and higher quality.
I’m new to the site so rather than pile on with a new voting option I’ll provide my personal experience with a great company.
The folks at Aulta helped me outfit my wedding party with Acuaticos (Stainless) at a great price. Furthermore, they exceeded all my expectations in terms of customer service, delivery, packaging, and product quality.
They are universally beloved by my groomsmen and I’ll be a customer for life.

Thanks for the unnecessary and unsolicited shit-post; you sure taught me to think twice before submitting a genuine and thoughtful comment.
Well Done.

Thats a sweet az watch you got there ;P
Hamilton - adds a great retro vibe to the Khaki line... wish it was 40mm Love that Melbourne Portsea watch... I'm not typically a micro-brand fan, but it is gorgeous and not something I've seen before. SKX because everyone should own a good beater
The Laco, not a fan of black PVD. I've never had a PVD watch hold up and won't consider them anymore. I've been told DLC holds up, but haven't tried a DLC case yet. Also, that particular watch looks like it's trying to be both a field watch and flight watch at the same time (and not succeeding at either).
Before spending $650 on a Laco, I'd probably save another $300 and get a Stowa Flieger.
Consider indicating the budget amount... Massdrop polls suffer from too many added items that do not match the OP's initial goals. (ie., the Breitling Avenger that someone added).
Ideally, Massdrop would allow the OP the ability to remove poll additions by others.
I looking to buy between seiko skx007 and hamilton khaki king. Do any of you guys know which one is better?

That's easy... the Khaki King is the higher quality watch... no contest. Higher quality casework, exhibition caseback, nicer strap. The H-40 movement is based on an ETA 2836-2, 28.8k bph and is a hacking movement. I think the primary change Hamilton made was the mainspring to give it an 80hr power reserve.
The equivalent Seiko diver in terms of quality would probably be the Seiko Samurai and Turtle lines... they are hacking, but are 21.6k bph and around a 40 hr power reserve. Many say that the 21.6 bph will result in longer life/fewer servicings... but I can't say that I've noticed a significant difference in lifespan/accuracy between my 28.8 and 21.6 watches.
It's a beautiful, classic watch. Not everyone is interested in stripping a watch down to nothing but indices, and hands. It's versatile, working well with leather, steel, mesh, park in, NATO and Zulu straps. It's masculine and it's eye catching - even people who don't care about watches will comment on it.
The real question is "why are you trying to sway my poll?" LOL
