rvdlaarI thought this for a long time, but getting someone like CyberPower to build a custom machine makes a lot of sense to me these days. The price isn't significantly higher, but you get the piece of mind of a warranty. That said, my personal build has lasted me over 8 years now. But it's being retired in favor of a CyberPower custom.
rvdlaarwell for the sake of specs i say that at the same price you can get all the parts but of course you also have to buy the windows OS if your building, making building a similar system with same specs more expensive
DEADTIMEi did not, and i do not see the relevance in comparing it to building a pc.
building a car involves more tools and at least a bridge. building a pc can get done with just a philips screw driver.
rvdlaarJust imagine how someone who has never even opened a pc case feels. It's absolutely relevant, you don't tell the average person wanting their first car to build it. It's the same with someone wanting their first gaming pc, we want to lower the difficulty level And ease of entry into pc gaming.
DEADTIMESure, from a ease of use point i absolutely get that.
Though, my argument is that a self build system can get you more bang for buck. Not that it is easier or harder compared to a ready to play system like Cyberpower.
rvdlaarNo doubt self built systems are the way to go, you usually though not always get better parts and you know the machine in a much more personal way. When something's go's wrong on a rig you built you have intimate knowledge of the guts in the rig and drivers. I agree completely but for new to pc gamers or those with no technical skills I think pre built is the way to go.
