A front shot of the just released Waldhoff Imperial. It features a genuine Swiss sapphire case surrounded by a CNC machined steel cage. It is powered by an Hz Co-Axial movement (hand wound) with 80 hours of reserve. This watch is designed and assembled by Starck Uhren in Pforzheim, but most parts come from other countries (Swiss sapphie, Chinese steel case, Taiwanese dial and hands, Swiss luminous, Chinese movement.

I'm pretty close to pulling the trigger for the Vanguard V8. When you folks get the movements from PTS do you folks check for timekeeping? What's an acceptable rate for Waldhoff? I think PTS states +/- 25 seconds, which is not too bad but what kind of numbers are you actually seeing? Do you regulate it after receiving the movements if they're not to spec? What's holding me back is that they're from China. While I don't doubt their technical ability, I'm worried about QC. I've been following Waldhoff for a while and I see you folks have used both Swiss ETA and Chinese movements. I'm sure ETA isn't perfect and you folks probably have ran into some bad movements, but have the Chinese movements been consistent in quality? Did you folks experience any warranty repairs/replacements yet for the Ultramatic? I really really like the design of the Vanguard V8. I think the designs Waldhoff produces is far superior to the ones produced by other microbrands using similar Chinese movements. Awesome work. I hope Waldhoff continues to gain traction with watch enthusiasts. Thanks, Hernan

Oops. Looks like you already kinda answered my question less than a year ago on a question I posted on the Ultramatic. Maybe if you could speak on your updated experience since the Ultramatic with the newer Chinese tourbillon movements you're putting in the Vanguard V8 and the Imperial.
These polls tend to get so messy so quickly. Sure there are some great watches in this one, but last time I've checked Orient for example was Japanese, not German....
Talk about poling apples vs oranges vs brussel sprouts.
OP, you have a manual wind aviation watch; an automatic dress watch with a japanese movement; a dress watch with a quartz movement; and an automatic diver.
If you're just looking for a poll on brand names, rather than specific watch types, then ok... I guess. But it's a pretty weird group of brands to start off with. You probably want to look at different brands, depending on the type of watch:
Aviation watches - Stowa & Sinn (personally, I think both Laco and Archimede are a step down, although I like the bronze Archimede) Dress watches - Nomos (or if $$ no object, A. Lange & Glashutte Original) Diver - Sinn
Of course, you could go Steinhart for an inexpensive German brand homage to other well known pilot/diver/GMT watches. (I really like the look of their ?original? Marine Officer series, I just can't do the 44mm diameter and 16mm thickness.)

Not to mention he just stuck the showcase backpiece of the Flieger Klassik Logo instead of the front... ??
German Watches and no A. Lange Sohne? That's a big miss.
Seiko? Someone's a little confused on their geography
Its great
Would love to see the blues hands ikarus from Stowa. I've had my eyes on that for a while

Unless you made that comment sarcastically. In which, my apologies
Big fan of Sinn watches here. Also prefer titanium case.
Stowa, na man. Junkers all the way, their Bauhaus watches are freaking beautiful!
ALS? Through Massdrop??? You really think someone's gonna buy a, what, $30K watch through Massdrop?
I wonder if they did Stowa...could they offer more than one model. Logo or no logo, Flieger or a Marine. Or if marine, different dial options.
