I really doubt that there will be a discount on the 1080/1070, as they are so new, but you never know with Nvidia. They may appreciate the sales... I really do hope they do give atleast a small discount.
They dont need to resort to mass drop to get sales on what is being dubbed the best graphics card released. Those sell themselves without a problem. Especially sense the red team has not yet released their polaris GPU's yet
The astounding advance in performance stems from the leap in processor architecture used on the new series of cards and also the new memory architecture used in the 1080 specifically, allowing for further progression into parallel computing.
I watched LinuxTechTips review and others more. One 1080 is 25% faster than a GTX 980 Ti. There is no black and white comparison here it is just an improved card.
