On every other poll i always see vastly more people voting for the pg348q, which is fine since everyone should be allowed to have their own opinions. But, what most people don't do is research, so i wanted to give you the details here, so you can make the correct choice when choosing the monitor for you. Firstly the PG does not come with a gamma adjustment making it hard to get a true depth of colors out of the box. Secondly the PG has vastly inferior built in speakers. Finally the PG underglow, while cool, is not available for use for us VESA mount users, as opposed to the x34 which is built into the actual monitor. BOTH monitors have problems with backlight bleed and dead pixels etc. out of the box, but as time has gone on, acer released a new model, which is now the flagship x34, the x34A and mostly rectified their QC problems. While it is still like a lottery when buying either of these monitors the x34A is probably the one you have been looking for. Also with the release of the X34P in the coming months, there will be NATIVE 100hz with overclock to 140 (i think), as well as a deeper curve, and some other changes like more versatile mount movement.

WOMBATinnCOMBATSo what do you suppose the price point of the X34P will be? im debating getting this one or the pg348Q and I honestly am going to stick my head in a bucket and scream because I can't decide.

NephinoxX34P is confirmed to, whenever it hits stores, be around the same price point as the X34A. so about 1.3k MSRP, but it won't be on sale for a while since it will be a new product. On the other hand, if you get really lucky, you can get a refurb X34A for like 700-900. Go with what you feel is right, but i highly suggest the X34
