If you’re shorter, Eno makes a hell of an ultralight hammock as far as price-weight ratio goes (based on my experience with a Sub7). However, at a whopping one pound I’d hardly call the Singlenest lightweight.
Kammok makes everything you need for thru-hike hammocking and are less pricey than many here - I didn't notice any HammockGear stuff on here, they can outfit you from top to bottom as well but they are top of the line for sure. Enos are fine but can be over-priced, comparatively speaking. Most thru hikers swear by the Blackbird. Depends on your usage/intent. Having a hammock in the car or ultra-light thru-hiking...?
I would be wary of the Eno Singlenest. It seems to be shorter and narrower than most other hammocks, and we see a lot photos of people lounging in them like bananas. Might just be that they hang them too tight...
I've had a number of these hammocks and settled on Dream Hammocks as the best bar none. The best designs, highest handmade USA quality, custom fabrics, custom options, hands on personal service cannot be beat! If you don't believe me check out the hammock forums. Thank you Papa Smurf for making me the ideal swing!
I have the Blackbird XLC and it's excellent. The footbox makes a big difference in allowing you to get as flat as possible. FYI: it's shown with an attached bugnet but the bugnet can be removed.
