Dave,
If it is possible to include a mounting bracket like the following? Also to include a fan for the motor like below? Just ideas. The mounting bracket below people say it does allow you to mount the Mombo Monster 2 mount to the Slash 4x4, not sure about the Monster X.

If you can verify fully that the "Mamba Monster X with 2200Kv motor" is water proof like the first item I added to this poll and will fit the Traxxas Slash 4x4 that we are purchasing through MassDrop then I am game and I am sure a lot of others are also! If that is the case then with this POLL we all should vote for the "Mamba Monster X with 2200Kv motor" that Dave is saying we can get! The extra features etc sound like a big plus, IF we can get it close to a $200.00 price point!

Roc 412 is a Crawler specific motor, not advisable for a "high end" 4x4 upgrade.

I really do appreciate your help and knowledge on this but I am unsure where this reference of the message of "Roc 412 is a Crawler specific motor, not advisable for a "high end" 4x4 upgrade." and the reply of "Tekin's ROC 412 is a 3100kv Crawler Specific motor, very low rpm and high torque, it would be like putting a stock brushed motor into a slash 4x4." would have anything to do with what we are talking about with this, we are talking about the Traxxas Slash 4x4 Massdrop is selling and has sold. May be I need to re-read our whole talk about it but from what you have said about the "Mamba Monster X with 2200Kv motor" that Massdrop is about to release, it seems that would be better than the "Castle Creations Mamba Monster 2 25V Extreme Car Esc Waterproof and a 2200 Kv motor" first suggested I posted in this pole, knowing that would fit and work with our Massdropped Slash 4x4. I am wondering if you may be replying for a different Drop or post as we have not talked about any crawlers, only the Massdropped Slash 4x4.

I see now, sorry! Another user "bpowers96" added that motor, that should not be added as it is just a motor and not what we are looking for in this poll. it. This poll is for "High End Slash 4x4 Motor and ECS Upgrade"High End Slash 4x4 Motor and ECS Upgrade. With that said, maybe an upgrade to the website to not be able to add items that do not fit what the poll is for? "Potato"?

I have done quite a bit of research on upgrades for the Traxxas Slash 4x4. From that I have found the Castle Creations Mamba Monster 2 25V Extreme Car Esc Waterproof and a 2200 Kv motor is the most extreme upgrade for it. You will have to adjust the gearing etc. $204.00 from Amazon is cheaper than Castle's website but I wanted to see if we could get a better price from Massdrop. I had to add two to this vote so I added the 1415-2400KV version. From my research I know the 2200Kv will work. Let me know if you have questions and or have more info!

One thing to keep in mind, We need to make sure the motor fits the Slash 4x4 that was sold here at Massdrop as I have done my research on that drop and only found the Mamba Monster 2 25V waterproof and the 2200Kv motor compatible even though it was for a 1/8th. If Massdrop can compete with a $200.00 price or better then that would be AWESOME! Now for this "sensor port, additional programming features. and new data logging!" We/I can do reserach on what is normally sold, We will need full specs to be able to tell if the X or the 2 is worth the extra money. $200 more, kinda need to know FULL SPECS. I have seen Massdrop recent on a lot of products not be able to provide that. With the money involved, the amount of differences, etc. Please provide MAX information.

Motor is the same dimensional size, infact its the exact same motor, just speed control has been updated, and having a senosor port on an 8th scale system is a great new feature for the monster X. What a sensor port does is allow the motors rotor to align on a pole so it can advance past it easier, meaning this stops all "cogging" or jittering at start up, or low speed, definitely a large improvement. The system will be close in price to MM2 not $200 more than MM2. We always provide all technical details and information supplied by the manufacturers.
