The 5820k is amazing. Gets per-core close to leading gaming chips with overclocking and still has fantastic power for workloads.
Sorry to break it to you, but no way massdrop gets a significant discount on intel CPUs.
the i7-5820K is the exact part i need for my build and it's a really good 6 core possessor

7800X,299x is cheaper at 375.00 for the CPU . 6 core newer architecture. MB starting in the 200USB range Quad memory with 28 PCIe lanes or it maybe only 16 lanes but enough for 1 graphics card
