Skip the plastic and cheap material of the Jetboil - I’ve seen MSR’s falling off of a cliff in Spain and it worked just fine, it got kicked accidentally while having a cup of warm brew. In north eastern Afghanistan I’ve seen one survive a 35-40’ drop out of the back of a Chinook helicopter, it worked just fine too...buy once, cry once boys and girls 👍🏻
I have the MSR wind burner. It really handles the wind without a problem. I have not had any issues with it in 3 years. It is extremely fuel efficient, well designed and the WIND doesn't carry away the heat. you can hold the outside while the water is at a rolling boil. I have used it from 1,200 feet in OKlahoma, up to about 11, 200 feet in Colorado near Maroon Bells. You can not "simmer" foods in this thing though... I boil water, pour over dried food in a bag and wait for it to rehydrate. Simple . Efficient. Well designed. Glad I own one.
MSR Windburner is the best!
Was actually looking at the jetboil flash lite
