because it keeps other components cooler like the cpu, and people such as myself want to have it because it looks nice and whoever is going to purchase it will not be buying it for overclocking

AndrewBrooksA lot of people would say that the cooler on the aftermarket cards looks good too. And if your case has proper ventilation on it, then you don't need to worry about thermals for the CPU. Unless you're doing a small form factor PC, which you won't even see the graphics card in due to a lack of windows on it like on most cases nowadays, there is no other point to the founders edition. My case doesn't have a million fans on it, it just has two exhausts and a grate on the side about the size of a 240 mm rad and my CPU never goes about 70 C, and I edit and create videos all day long with a small aluminum heatsink on it. I'm running a GTX 1070 G1 Gaming in my PC by the way. On top of that, out the box the fans are stuck on such a low fan setting that you will never reach the boost clock speed without thermal throttling. The aftermarket coolers are a better value overall in almost every situation. Also, if someone is not buying a graphics card to overclock it to get better performance in games, well that's a waste honestly to not get the most out of your graphics card that you possibly can.
