The Neumann microphones are amazing. I have the Neumann KMS104. It is a handheld condensor and is fantastic. Great built in pop filter too.....studio condensor quality and good rejection of stray sound if your room is not treated. If it is treated, you can't go wrong the the TLM103. The Rode is great too, I'm sure. These are really for vocalists and musicians...simply overkill for the podcasters.
The SM7B is legendary but in most people's hands will not be set up properly...you need serious clean power for this mic. A lot of people would need to purchase additional equipment to make it even close to the KMS104 in my opinion.
The SM7B is one of the best dynamic microphones money can buy. Probably the best option if you don't have a properly treated room since a condenser mic will pick up the sound of the room.
