The balisong is uh.. how do I say.. cheap?... I've never had one but I don't need one to know that cheap and soft metal will break.

Not all Balisongs are cheaply made. I know the ones you are referring too (Trades day Special, Chineese cheep metal, Poorly Made). But if you pickup a Benchmade Morpho (D2), or even a Bradley (154CM), you might find that they are not built like the cheep trades-day special. But regardless, If you keep them sharp... Your going to cut yourself. lol.

I'm familiar with Benchmade and Bear and Sons 'Bear Ops'. From my own perspective, anything that's an offspring of or has the title of a video game in it, is often of poor quality.
