Personally I'd prefer the Asus ROG Strix 1080 Ti. I'd also be open to the ROG 1080 Ti Poseidon, but that's a bit more expensive likely.
The AORUS card is not bad by any means, but it is longer, heavier and takes up around 2.5/3 slots; many enthusiasts think those who buy it should be using an additional GPU support bracket for their cases, as not to put too much stress on the PCI-E slot.
Overall I generally prefer Asus ROG cards especially with the now open RGB "Aura SDK' so nobody needs to have a ton of competing RGB standards and applications to control them. EVGA is another decent choice when it comes to Nvidia cards.
