I like microsoft for ore stationary office functions, advanced excel macros, etc. But for most professionals in mobile jobs, its hard to beat a mobile OS. The Surface suffers from the same thing as a Chevy Avalance in trucks... It's trying to be a truck and an SUV and isn't really good at being either. Likewise, the surface wasn't a very good laptop and was a terrible tablet for mobile work. So it's "Mr. In-Between" and fails as a result (In my humble opinion). That said, my former boss seems to like his, so whatever floats your boat. :)
I've had to use the surface for work and I hated it. Brought my own personal iPad and was way more productive.

an important detail for this comment would be what you do as a job? what workload would it be better for?
Lenovo Miix 700 over Surface Pro. Better value, better built.

Wow that looks extremely interesting but I like it.
Price, Power, Speed, even Design is better in the Surface than the Ipad Pro. iPad Mini sounds cool if they would take $100 off the full price
It disgusts me that apple products are first
Get the iPad pro people

I would say the surface is better in most categories
