We are on the endless hunt for the least toxic cookware... so far we have titanium pans (incredible to cook with!) and Xtrema pots and Dutch ovens. They are breakable but really fantastic. Neither are on your list!

adaluluInteresting, what about other cookware makes them toxic? People say cast iron leaches iron into your food (which you'd think then might introduce trace amounts of lead or whatever) but when you think about it, a properly seasoned pan really shouldn't let food actually contact metal.

zappdustIron is not lead, and therefore won't leech lead into your food. It may leech small amounts of iron, but remember, you actually *need* iron and vitamins typically contain it.
Personally I prefer carbon steel unless there's a benefit to using the greater thermal density of cast iron.
