okay why am I not seeing a 8700k or 9700k and the difference in gaming performance is only slightly better for the intel chips compared to AMD Ryzen 7 1800x or 2700x, but workstain loads are better on AMD because of the higher core count.
Intel if you want best performance, AMD if you're on a budget.
Only frienemies buy Intel, and that's a fact.
Id so love if skylake dropped its one of the parts i need to finish my build XD
Kind of surprised the i7 7700k isn't up there by now.
wait for ryzen 2
Lol the i9 and i7 7800k aren't suitable for gaming. Best gaming chips are the intel pentium 4 processors ;)
the i7 4790K is the best choice for FPS per dollar between the 3, the 6700k is only a slight improvement and totally not worth the $200+ price tag.
is this a joke, why is the i7 7700k not here? is this old or does no one keep up with the latest tech.
All you have to do is watch this. It is a review of the Ryzen 1800X CPU but it is benched against a lot of others as well. You can go from there as to which you should buy.

Yes if you pick any. Pick ryzen. #intel is going down hard

as an owner of the r7 1800x it is NOT a better gaming processor than an Intel i7. It is the better DECENT gaming PLUS other things at the same time. Intel cannot touch Ryzen if you mix things at the same time as gaming.

I feel like the reason to buy AMD is because when you buy AMD you are supporting competition. It's sort of like recycling and leaving the seat down.
i5 6600k high overclocking potential won't bottleneck most high end graphics cards like rx480-gtx1060 but it might be better to wait for ryzen
I7 6700k is the best

statisicly speaking, 6950x, wallet speaking, ryzen
I'd suggest waiting for AMDs (Ry)Zen Processors or even the new Kabylake desktop line of Intel processors. Won't be very long till then and price to performance ratio is bound to improve drastically (hopefully). Unless your old system broke down there's really no good reason to buy a new processor right now.
