Some games have older engines that don't have full quad-core support (Arma 3 is a perfect example of this) and will run better on 4790k then on a 6700k due to the 4790k having the highest single core speed. Assuming people have the funds to do i7 vs i5, the 4790k is still the king of "I want my processor to work with EVERY game well and be able to multi-task." and is cheaper.
