This poll is irrelevant and misleading. No one camera brand better than all the others at everything. Furthermore, if there was a winner, that still would not be a reflection of a specific camera/lens system. The fact that Canon and Nikon are in the lead on this poll suggests that it's mostly being voted on by those not particularly educated in the current photography gear space.

Ryanh0809For me it's the price Nikon is really cheap for me as I find parts for 20 or less so sometimes it's not just because some aren't educated, for me I get thats somewhat good and I know I can get parts for cheap

Ryanh0809I agree! Your point holds merit. I think a more appropriate question should be, "Which camera brand do you prefer?" Even then, the results may mislead those that are newer to photography. On another note, I'm curious about whether people prefer mirrored (DSLR) or mirrorless (MILC) systems. Even probing into the age old film versus digital debate might be interesting. I think these factors definitely contribute to a person's brand loyalty.

18emiliafariasI don't think I agree. Canon lenses and bodies are quite cheap on the second hard market compared to their Nikon counterparts. Although I would have purchased a nikon because of their superior technology and their overall ability in photography being better for the most part than canon's counterparts, I went down the Canon route as the used market is so much cheaper. I can buy L lenses for about a 1000 dollars off the retail price on ebay and they all work fine. I've had them checked by professionals and they are flawless lenses other than a few physical signs of use. (Mind you I'm talking about high end lenses, not mid range).
