Audio Technica's High-Fidelity Line of Headphones
I currently have the A900X and it is indeed made in Japan. I'm not sure about where the other lines are manufactured.
I'd rather get the A900x for my office since I already have a open headphone at home. I believe the 900 series is also made in Japan so that's a plus for me not to say there's anything wrong with the less expensive lines 500 and 700.
I would love the ad1000x
The 900 series would drop at least $100 below retail, probably much more. The A900X have been as low as $140. The 700 series would drop at least $80 below retail. Everyone says that the extra bit of money for the 900 series instead of the 700 series is worth it.
