dumb. the M100 are EASILY the best headphones in this poll, but double the price of the AT 50s. For the cash the 50s are GREAT. for double the price the m100s are AMAZING!
What are beats? Are they supposed to produce pleasing sounds? nope. sorry. nothing with the name Beats makes anything that sounds good. So what is this poll. Fashion item, vs fashion item, vs. mid priced monitor headphones vs upper mid range mega portable audiophile "fun" headphones. I mean.... None of these items are remotely in the same category IMHO.
The Beats Solo2 was actually given very high praise by Tyll Hertsens on www.innerfidelity.com , and he actually said it was BETTER than the Sennheiser Momentum on ear and V-Moda XS. In case you don't know him, he is the most well known reviewer in the audiophile world, and his opinions are well respected everywhere. I listened to some solo2's and I don't know man, they still sound too bassy. Sure they're definitely better than any of the other products that they produce, but I can't really see where he's coming from
Beats by Dre are pretty much an Audiophiles worst nightmare. I would not even consider myself an Audiophile and I find the sound on them to be wrong on many levels.
