Okay @Xaliax, here's a long-awaited update:
We know you and a lot of members really want to see Benchmade here on Massdrop. We really want to make it happen for you. We got in touch awhile back when the community was a lot smaller, and there wasn't any interest at the time. Then we had a conversation at SHOT Show earlier this year, and there was mild interest in listing them here but not for any prices under MSRP. Most recently, we talked with them again at Blade Show and were encouraged to follow up with a different contact at the company. We are now in the process of doing this, and we hope to have an update for you sometime this summer. We'll keep working on this, thanks for your extraordinary patience.
Please forgive my English (its not my first language).
I was wondering what the limited edition Ares would cost, roughly.
Google didnt knew. Also I'm new her and havent quite figured out how things work but I'm interested in the Ares and voted for it. Is there anything else I can or should do?
Eum, final question, how is the shipping to europe? Thanks in advance for answering.
The 940 is rated as one of the best production knives available. After you add the upgrades of the 940-1, it makes an already great knife an amazing knife. Great blade ratio, super lightweight, and made with some of the best materials available. The reverse tanto is a great blade shape also.
A lot of great knives here. I love my griptillian (tanto), it's my edc when a slightly larger blade is warranted (not at my computer job usually) Sturdy as heck, smooth, holds an edge and really not showing any wear after years of use.
You won't be able to buy an automatic online, Benchmade does not sell them online. I own the non-auto Adams and that is just as solid as the automatic and easy to flip open due to weight of the D2 steel and the thickness of the blade. I highly recommend anything with S30V steel. It's their highest quality steel without getting into your Gold Class limited edition knives that will have Damascus or M390 super steel. The Bushcrafter currently being voted on is a great option: large knife, big belly for skinning, and a very thick spine. A stout and heavy knife that is kickass. Haven't seen the Ares Limited in person yet but looks like a longer and thinner everyday carry with some S30V
P.S. I am an employee at largest authorized premium benchmade dealer in South Texas.
Not Ebay but yes you can buy benchmade automatics online on other 3rd party retailers. like bladehq etc. Benchmade thankfully has a authorized dealer policy that requires you to have a brick and mortar store to be so.
