DragonzeanseDespite all the YouTube review saying the M50/M50x is the best thing since ever, I'd take most all the headphone in the poll over the M50x. I just (this week) received the M50X and the DT 770 Pro. The DT 770 sounds better and is vastly more comfortable. It sounds cleaner and with highs that are less harsh and better mids and vocals. The low end is close but I prefer the DT 770s bass. Both the M50x and the DT 770 have boosted highs and lows and are moer v-shaped, with the DT 770 delivering better and "smoother" sound while still being fun.
The K553 are better reference/mixing headphone with a more neutral sound than either.
My M50xs are going back Monday.

RojasTKDYou definitely got something wrong in your system. I own the creme-de-la-creme in closed headphones except for exotics and I find your opinion one sided. The ATH is a headphone which changes character drasticly with the amplifier used, unlike many of those here, including the NAD Viso, which I personally hate. DT770 is a good set of cans, but calling it superior over ATH 50x means that you don't have a source to show all there is to it. Still, if you are happy enough with your DT770, you should not listen to anyone else but you. But upgrade your source and amp then give the 50s another go. They are really worth it.

StoyanvWell, we shall have to agree to disagree my friend.
M50 shouldn't require an AMP and I've never seen one recommended as a must have for the M50s. I was using a JDS Labs C5D witch is plenty for IEM most average headphones. The DT770 80 ohms was superior to my ears and I'm not the only one who thinks so. The M50x did have a couple of advantages, removable cables (3 of them) and it's smaller more portable size.
I no longer have the DT 770 as I've added some more headphones to my collection (DT 1770, DT 1350 and HiFiMan HE-500 and 400i).
