Hey everyone,
I am going to be closing this poll early as it is unlikely that we will be able to offer computer sound cards to the community at this time. They are extremely low margin products, and we would unlikely be able to get at a price that is better than what you find at existing online retailers like newegg. Thanks for voting, and I'll make sure to focus on sourcing other community identified products!
I vote creative, because creative has the best 3D virtualization solution. Dolby headphone is meant to sound like you are listening to a 5.1 setup in a room, where as CMSS-3D tries to sound like you are actually listening to the sound sources, not just listening to a room with speakers in.
Can the gents calling me a scrub for wanting a soundcard point me in the direction of an external DAC with CMSS-3D technology? No? DIDN'T THINK SO!
Stop insulting people when there are genuine reasons to buy a sound card. There's tons of External DAC groupbuys so leave us alone.
Why STX II? It's an STX 1 with Muses Op-amps and a slightly improved headphone amp chip, at a much healthier profit margin.
It would be more accurate to say "external dac and amp" because: 1. You can't drive headphones just with a dac 2. Soundcards have dacs
Are the Asus drivers still terrible and have issues with legacy games (IE EAX games)?

if you're posting that link to prove that Sound Cards are not worth it. It all depends on what you listen. All depends on what you do.

That Tek Syndicate video is filled with so much BS it makes me weep. Don't got to tek syndicate for advice on hardware. They make money by marketing things. That guy selling DACs is paying them to big up his product.
