Hello everyone!
We've contacted the winners in this poll and right now we're getting setup with those companies to list.
We'll keep you updated as time goes on but you should be seeing some new board games on Massdrop in the next few weeks!
Just make sure you come out cheaper than coolstuffinc.com or there isn't really a point since they have free shipping over $100.
That said, if you come out 20% or so under, I'm in for any good games.
I agree with Greywind. Although I am interested in it I did not vote for AA for the same reasons. But at this cost it's too much. And in my case I have to consider the international shipping cost.
If you drop few different games at a time (assuming it is possible for you) - combined shipping would seal the price saving deal as well (something you've done earlier with catan + netrunner iirc).

Personally i don't think I would invest $100+ in AA, as it's a very time consuming game and it won't be of a much success among my friends who prefer more casual 45 min - 90 min games. But then again I guess I'd pick up core game just out of an interest.

But shelling out $100 + shipping for couple of different games is much easier in general.
Hey guys, Arkham Horror looks pretty good.. the problem with board games is that they're heavy to ship, so that often kills the deal. That being said, if we package it with the expansions, we can probably get the savings to be much more significant. Are people willing to shell out $100+ for the game + Xpacs though? Looks like we'll need about 10+ people to make the drop happen.
For those who were wondering, Arkham Horror is indeed a fantastically long game. It can take up to 8 hours, or more!
That said, it is brilliant fun, if you can find people willing to play for that long!
I put my vote in for Betrayal at House on the Hill. You can pick up the rules fairly quickly and games don't take too long, but it's well paced and fosters interesting group dynamics.
Agreed with lac29. I've tried running the tutorials in Space Alert, and it is pretty darned difficult to grasp at first. Definitely take your time with it before giving up.
Just a heads up ... I've bought and played Space Alert a handful of times. It's a bit complex rulewise and I don't think I'd suggest it for the more casual boardgamer. The rulebook is pretty big and you need to play through some "tutorial" scenarios/games to get acquainted with the rules. Pandemic is quite a bit more new-player friendly.
