I was mounting a CM Hyper 212 EVO, on a very high profile motherboard for my dad, and it was a mess to get the wiggly X-shaped collapsible, universal frame that had to sit on all 4 stand offs, and the pin in the center of the CPU block

UndullingBladeI've mounted 4-5 Evos and once I had the X shaped connector in the proper shape I've never had trouble aligning it with the standoffs.
(I did have a lot of trouble when I didn't set the X connector to the proper shape for my motherboard though!)
It's my go-to because it provides excellent cooling for a good price point, and I have found it simple to attach.

UndullingBladeI would put my vote in for one of Alpenfohn's offerings. Like @UndullingBlade mentioned, the X bracket design of the Hyper 212 is a bit awkward. Without US retailers, it's hard for me to get my hands on an Alpenfohn cooler without high shipping/import costs.
