Support for Alternative Layouts
This is a summary of how alternative layouts have been supported by kits such as Colevrak and Homing. It is not a discussion of alt layout performance and development, but if that interests you I highly recommend starting with Pascal Getreuer’s A guide to alt keyboard layouts (why, how, which one?). After testing them out, advising the vendor to get you the best price possible, and determining optimal configurations, we should be able to launch soon!
Deciding a configuration was pretty difficult for this buy. This round is going to work by letting you choose three colors at checkout. You'll get 45 color changers of each color you choose for a total of 135 color changers. With this configuration you can get a uniform color for the QWERTY cluster (37 keys) with one option, you can outfit an entire TKL/60% with a uniform color with two options (leaving you a third to experiment with another color), and many more optimal configurations brought on by making each color option be 45 color changers.
We'll get this up as soon as we can and I'll post an update once it's ready to go : )
