Would love to see a decent folding karambit as an option as well.
I've got the Higonakami and while it's pretty cool and great for collectors, it's really not a practical EDC knife. Deformities seem to be somewhat common as well, which can be good or bad depending on your intentions for the knife. They don't come with a great blade but they're very easy to sharpen.
940-1 is easily the best EDC on this list. Carbon fiber handle. S90V steel. Perfect gentlemans folder.
The Svord is a friction folder too. I purchased a Svord because I saw them mentioned on a blade forum and they're pretty cheap. I gotta say, I was not impressed at all. The blade comes pretty dull and the edge was very poorly ground to begin with. Took me about 3 hours to clean it up and put a decent edge on it. I guess that's what you should expect for something so inexpensive, but then I've been spoiled by the quality you get from companies like Mora.
BladeHQ sells all of those Higonakami ones. But just so you all know, they're friction folders, meaning they don't have a locking mechanism.
Is there no better retailer than etsy? The Japanese knives link to nonexistent etsy pages...
What are the parameters for these folding knives: EDC, tactical, collectible, etc.?
