So why are people voting for the Asus PG278Q over the Acer XB270HU? Is there something I'm missing? Simply curious. No fanboying here.

the swift was good for it's time. But really, i'm not gonna pay over $500 for a TN panel.
it's incredible the power of markating. everyone who voted on the asus are most likely victim of this marketing.
the acer, albeit a little more expensive than the swift, hands down destroys the swift on image quality. you cannot compare a TN with an IPS panel.
