Hi Guys,
We just went live with the Al Mar Eagle Classic Talon Knife: https://www.massdrop.com/buy/al-mar-eagle-classic-talon-knife. Check it out when you get a chance!
Also, as a side note, the other choices were not feasible due to high demand and low production of the units.
Cheers,
Andy
Hey Guys,
We've reached out to the top three choices, all are in very high in demand and low supply so Massdrop is not the best option. However, Al Mar (4th choice) with 100+ votes is very doable. Love to hear your guys' feedback.
Cheers,
Andy
I'm just going to throw this out there... the sebenza is a sweet knife, no one's denying that. I don't think your average joe is going to be able to afford one. Like, if it gets selected as the winner, you'll maybe see, what a 10 - 20% reduction in price, it's still going to be well over $300. So, I could see it being the winner, and only 5 being bought. Just saying, I don't think we need to go for the fighter jet of pocket knives on this one.
The Sebenza is built for daily use. The name literally means "work" in Zulu. I've had one for years and use it all the time. It's still just as great as when I first got it. The frame and blade are thicker than just about any other folder I have, and can take more abuse than them.
i never said the seb wasnt "built" to be a user. it just isnt "priced" to be a user. its a top notch blade for sure.
but myself being in EMS, its better to keep my equipment expendable. I can palate sacrificing a blade that's $100-$150... if the situation calls for it, of coarse. i'm probably tempting fate as it is right now carrying a PM2 on duty.
